Just a reminder from Mobile Crisis – they are still in place and still to be utilized as a valuable EMS resource. The process has not changed for utilization. Just please be aware that you will not see their units responding on your fire mobile devices. Their response is recorded on the police side of these events. If you are unsure of their response, but see a need, please let police and/or dispatch know as soon as the need is recognized.

* We are currently in the process of working to expand hours to 7am to 11pm-this is a work in progress and I will send an email blast when we are in full swing! Our website and voicemail will be up to date with any changes as well * Mobile Crisis Services | Potomac Comm Svcs<www.potomaccommunity.org/mobile-crisis-services> * We are composed of both licensed mental health clinicians and mental health specialists. Ideally, mobile crisis responds in teams of 2 to assist individuals in crisis. * Mobile Crisis can respond anywhere within Washington County and assists with any age * Individuals and families can reach out to our number directly to request a response and first responders can also utilize ECC to request Mobile Crisis. We triage our own calls if someone calls our number directly to determine if emergency services are warranted. * We want to help reduce law enforcement presence when appropriate and unnecessary transports to the emergency department
