All ALS clinicians,
As you know, the protocol update starting today includes a new initial maximum dose of IM/IN versed maximum of 10 mg. If you completed your protocol updates when they first came out, please revisit to refresh your memory.
We will be asking you to exchange a 5:5 concentration for a 5:1 concentration vial as it is used or expired starting today. You will need to pay close attention to detail when entering your daily PS trax inventories until the end of this transition.
We will be updating the inventory sheets to reflect an inventory:
2 – 5:1 vials of midazolam 2 – 5:5 vials of midazolam
We will send that inventory out/post the inventory tomorrow.
I am currently in the middle of updating ps trax to accommodate this transition period.
Pharmacy has been contacted to see if the med pxyis inventory needs to be adjusted for this change as well.
If you have any questions, please let me know! Happy July 1!
